The History of 1010 E. Forest Ave.This William Waters towered residence was built in 1904 upon a limestone foundation with clapboard walls. This is a sketch made of the home by Waters.
Note: The drawing states this is "A.C. Gilbert" home however the home was built for the Albert M. Gilbert family. This is the earliest picture of the house and was suspected to have been taken around 1910. This early image shows the house while it still had the front porch and dormers which were later removed by Pickard.

This picture taken in the spring of 2015 shows the house under renovation, the removal of the garage (where the dirt pile is) and changing the location of it to the left of the dirt pile. Along with many other renovations inside and out this house is beautiful and represents Neenah's history.
This is a photo of the house as of spring 2016. Here one can see some of the minor cosmetic changes and alterations to the landscape that the Van Zeeland's have made to the property. This is a picture of the garage, which was moved across the property to be attached to the rest of the house. This change was made by the Van Zeelands in late 2015. |
